ACTIVITIES OF 2011

• PROMOTION OF SPORTS & CULTURE through sponsoring of sports and cultural activities of local clubs in January, 2011.
• BOOK DISTRIBUTION PROGRAMME: Book Distribution to underprivileged students in High Schools of the locality. Around 300 students were benefitted.

• INDUSTRY-STUDENT MEET arranged at the factory for High School Students of a Haldia based High School. Awareness session lectures were given on Safety, Health & Hygiene and Energy Conservation. Plant tour and quiz for the children were conducted followed by plant tour.  

• PROMOTING COMPUTER EDUCATION IN SCHOOL: Computers were donated to a Haldia based High School in February, 2011 with an aim to promote computer education among students

• SUPPORT TO HEALTH :
• Support to a N.G.O. located near Kolaghat, Purba Midnapore in for procuring an ambulance for the transfer of poor patients.
• Monthly Rural Health Camps administered through IMA (Indian Medical Association) in different villages in Haldia and around. Check-up done by General physicians and specialists. They were given free consultation and free medicines. The target villages are being catered to cyclically and the trend of ailments and improvements are being monitored.

ACTIVITIES OF 2010

• BOOK DISTRIBUTION PROGRAMME: Book Distribution to underprivileged students
• INDUSTRY-STUDENT MEETS were arranged at the factory. Technical interaction and presentation focusing on Industrial operation, Energy Conservation, 5S and Hygiene was held followed by plant tour.
• Visit by ITI Haldia students (April, 2010)
• Visit by Vidyasagar University Students (September, 2010)
• INTER SCHOOL FOOTBALL TOURNAMENT was organized by MCPI at MCPI Soccer Ground (in front of factory), in June, 2010. Six schools from adjoining areas participated in this Tournament.
• Donation made by MCPI to an ORPHANAGE in Mahishadal.
• ELECTRIFICATION done in 2 primary schools in a local village. A total of 626 students and 12 teachers were benefitted from this initiative.

MCPI sponsored Football kit to Haldia High School-State Level champions of Subrata Cup Football Tournament (All-India Tournament)as promotion of sports activity for its Football team which had qualified from West Bengal for the final round of the Tournament.

• Distribution of blankets done to needy aged villagers of the surrounding villages prior to winter.
• Promotion of education, sports and cultural activity of the region  through local clubs
• Support to local technical schools by providing machine parts for students’ training
