MCPI Welcomes Delegation from Marex for Strategic Engagement and Collaboration

MCPI welcomed the leadership team from Marex for a strategically significant visit, marking an important step toward deepening collaboration and exchanging insights aligned with long-term growth and resilience in the Paraxylene (PX) value chain.

The visit provided a valuable platform for both organisations to engage in forward-looking discussions, strengthening mutual understanding and exploring avenues for sustained partnership. Marex’s integrated global network, with strong capabilities across crude oil, naphtha, aromatics, and key petrochemical intermediates, presents meaningful synergies with MCPI’s strategic objectives. Their unique strength lies in combining capital depth with world-class risk management frameworks and extensive physical trading expertise—capabilities that strongly complement MCPI’s ambitions in the PX domain and beyond.

MCPI was honoured to host Mr. Vasudev Pottathil Balagopa, Executive Director; Ms. Mika Yamaji, Growth & Strategic Initiatives Director; Mr. Yogesh Yeolekar, VP – Chartering; Ms. Vasiliki Parapouli, VP – Light End & Octane Boosters and Ms. Risako Sugimoto, Trader, representing Marex.

The discussions from MCPI’s side were led by Mr. Debi Prasad Patra, Managing Director & CEO, along with representation from the Marketing and Business Development leadership team comprising Mr. Dhrubajyoti Chatterjee, Vice President & Head of Marketing & Business Development; Mr. Sibabrata Sinha, Deputy General Manager and Mr. Rajesh Sinha, Chief Manager.

Both teams also explored opportunities for partnership in enhancing operational excellence, leveraging Marex’s global market intelligence and MCPI’s robust capabilities in the downstream polyester value chain.
