Mr. Manabu Chikumoto-san Felicitated by The Bengal Chamber of Commerce in Presence of Dr. Purnendu Chatterjee

Mr. Manabu Chikumoto-san, Director of the Board, President & CEO of Mitsubishi Chemical Group, was felicitated by The Bengal Chamber of Commerce and Industry in the presence of Dr. Purnendu Chatterjee, Chairman of The Chatterjee Group. The ceremony was organized to recognise and honour Mr. Chikumoto’s spectacular career leading to attaining the apex position of Mitsubishi Chemical Group, the largest Chemical Company of Japan, and a globally acclaimed Chemical Company.

Speaking on the occasion Dr. Purnendu Chatterjee placed on record Chikumoto-san’s invaluable contribution to strengthening the organisation framework, reliability, safety and tighter cost management aspects of MCPI, which has enabled the Company to register all round positive results since takeover by TCG in November 2016.

Chikumoto-san talked about the overriding aspiration of MCG to become a Green Specialty Company under its ‘KAITEKI’ Vision 2035. He also recalled his memorable days in Kolkata and reiterated that it was almost his second home.

Mr. Debi Prasad Patra, MD & CEO, MCPI, along with senior officials, attended the event, which featured an interactive session with both the visionary leaders on the petrochemical and chemical industry.

Dr. Andrew Fleming, British Deputy High Commissioner and ASHIDA Katsunori, Deputy Consul General of Japan also graced the event.
