Mr. Debi Prasad Patra Graces the 84th Installation Ceremony of The Southern Gujarat Chamber of Commerce and Industry as Chief Guest

Mr. Debi Prasad Patra, Whole-time Director & CEO of MCPI Private Limited (MCPI) and Director of Garden Silk Mills Private Limited (GSMPL), had been the Chief Guest at the 84th Installation Ceremony of The Southern Gujarat Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SGCCI) on June 16, 2024, in Surat.
The ceremony was graced by several dignitaries that included Shri C R Paatil, Hon'ble Cabinet Minister, Ministry of Jal Shakti, Govt. of India, as the President of Ceremony; Shri Harsh Sanghavi, Hon'ble Home Minister, Govt. of Gujarat; Shri Govind Dholakia, Hon'ble Member of Parliament, Rajya Sabha and Shri Mukesh Dalal, Hon'ble Member of Parliament, as Special Guests; Shri Sandeep Engineer, Sr. Vice President GCCI and H.E. Ms. Pattarat Hongtong, Ambassador, Royal Thai Embassy, New Delhi as Guests of Honour; and Shri Priyavrata Mafatlal, Managing Director of Mafatlal Industries Ltd. as Special Chief Guest.
In his address, Mr. Patra congratulated the newly elected President, Mr. Vijay Mevawala, and Vice-President, Mr. Nikhil Madrasi, and appreciated the outgoing committee's work.
After outlining The Chatterjee Group's vision, he mentioned upcoming plans for scaling up the textile business and venturing into Industrial Yarn, Technical Textile, and Geotextile sectors. He also highlighted strategies to accelerate the growth of its fabric and fashion business under the Garden Vareli brand.
